EFFL VII week 3 started off with last season’s rivals Cairo Bears and Eagles Athletic club, the game was keeping everyone on the edge of their seats until the very last second. 

Both teams’ head coaches have stated in a pre-game interview that they have prepared their plays for a very intense and tough game, while the Eagles’ head coach Mohamed Sadek stated ‘We’ve analyzed their offensive and defensive units and we are both physically and mentally prepared for this game’, the Bears’ head coach Ehab Gamal on the other hand was more focused on correcting any previous mistakes. According to him ‘We keep learning from any mistakes, we keep improving and we’re now ready for the Eagles’

The first half started with strong plays by the Eagles’ offense, being the first to score in the game with a 26 yard passing touchdown by Malak Sabry to Amira Nader. 

But the Bears managed to gain 2 first downs that got them closer to the endzone in the following drive, allowing Areej Zidan to score her teams’ first touchdown by an 11 yard run, followed by an extra point by Sara Hassan. 

The first two drives were just the beginning of an exciting and breathtaking game, both teams were hungry for the win, and their sidelines were filled with intensity and support for the players on field.

Both teams’ offensive units were on their A game, however, the Bears’ offense managed to keep their team in the lead, ending the first half with a score 22-20 for the Bears. 

The second half was heated with the teams’ enthusiasm, the Eagles offense was determined to fight to get back on the lead, scoring yet again the first touchdown of the half by Menna Ryan, followed by a two point conversion by Amira Nader. 

The game was full of heat, as both teams remained focused and determined to seal the win, the scores kept going back and forth to finally allow the bears to clinch the win showcasing great skills and chemistry to become their second win of the season with the return of their QB Haidy Wael who was awarded the game MVP as forecasted by her head coach Ehab Gamal.  

The second game of week 3 was between the Cairo Hellhounds and the Cairo Warriors, with the Warriors’ offense once again dominating the game. 

The Hounds started with a strong offensive game, being the first to score as expected by their head coach Hassan El Hussien, a passing touchdown by Habiba El Aassar, yet that remained their only score of the game. 

However, the Warriors managed to take the lead scoring three touchdowns in the first half, two of which were QB keeps by Nour Anwar, who earned herself MVP of the game. 

Hend Haggag, their last game’ MVP, did not fall short with a total of 200 rushing yards in the game, the ex-Wolves is definitely a huge win for the Warriors.

The Hounds struggled to shut down the Warriors’ offense, and their offense found it impossible to score a second touchdown throughout the game. 

The Warriors played a strong game after preparing in the bye week, and scored their second win in the season with a total score of 44-6.
